Issue
Military technologies have always been at the forefront of the technological world, providing the United States with the state of the art defense systems and equipment necessary to maintain National Security, while remaining at the forefront of the technological world. These cutting edge technologies, unfortunately, are accompanied by a security classification that almost guarantees to remain out of civilian hands for at least 15 years, preventing the open exchange of research and information that would be necessary to develop global technological solutions.
Contention
I contend that the restrictions placed on advanced research projects under government secrecy policy can be liberated through an architectural intervention rooted in the endorsement of a transparent scientific community; an intervention that is designed to support the open exchange of technological theory amongst professionals, acting as a platform for the incubation of future technological advancement in an open network of inter disciplinary intellectuals.
